A full 3D SketchUp model built from architectural permit drawings to help visualize Bineham Design’s plans for Tippi Nail Bar. The model supported both internal design coordination and client communication prior to construction.

Insight

The client needed a clear way to understand the architectural design before construction, especially due to language barriers and the complexity of the space.

Permit drawings alone made it difficult to visualize scale, flow, and room relationships.

Solution

I built a detailed 3D model directly from the approved permit set, translating technical drawings into a clear, navigable visual experience.

The model allowed the architect and interior designer to present finishes, layouts, and spatial flow in a way that was easy for the client to understand—without requiring in-person meetings.

Impact

The model helped bridge communication gaps between the architect, interior designer, and client, giving all parties confidence in the design before build-out. It also provided reusable visuals and animations the client could reference throughout construction.
